Organic (Steam Pasteurized) California Almonds

Organic Almonds are grown without pesticides or herbicides and steam pasteurized. We love this Nonpareil Supreme variety of almonds from Northern California because of the consistent larger size and sweet buttery flavor.

The FDA requires US grown almonds to undergo pasteurization. Most conventional almonds are pasteurized by being sprayed with a chemical called propylene oxide (PPO), which is considered a possible carcinogen. Our almonds are steam (water) pasteurized, so never come in contact with this chemical.
